Adult Rugby
Based in Oxton in Birkenhead, Oxton Parkonians RUFC currently field 2 senior sides playing matches at Holm Lane, with at least one team at home most weekends.
The First Team's season is made up of a combination of league matches and cup fixtures. They play their fixtures in the Halbro North West League Division 3 West. Additionally they participate in the National Junior Vase and Cheshire Plate.
The Second Team also play a full League season competing in the Halbro North West League Division 5 West.
Training is undertaken on Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm at the Club throughout the year. During the season training includes games of touch rugby, ball-handling skills, tackling and general fitness training. The Club has excellent training facilities including floodlights for winter training, a scrumage machine and assorted training aids such as tackle bags etc. Throughout the close season, fitness is maintained through a combination of gym work, general fitness coaching and 'friendly' soccer matches.
