A great deal of ongoing work and maintenance enables the Club to provide the facilities that members have come to expect, though from time to time we need to carry out significant and expensive projects.
The Access Road Project
Our current major project is the renovation of the access road at the Club - the 200m road that runs from Holm Lane to the Clubhouse.
For details of the work now scheduled, see the Access Road page.
Built in the 1960s, this road has served us well for 50 years, but despite ongoing repairs in recent years now needs to be resurfaced. Also, due to the increased amount of traffic, particularly on busy Junior Rugby days, we aim to include a passing point and widening of the entrance as part of the project objectives.
Over the last two years we've been through the process of getting a drawings and a detailed specification completed, tendering and selecting a supplier. The work is now shceduled to take place during the week commencing 21st May.
Watch this space for developments, and if you would like to contribute in any way, whether it be to bring expertise, become a Development Member (see below), some help with fundraising, or actual money itself, please speak to any of the Association Committee members.
With the renovation of the access road now scheduled to take place at the end of the Rugby season, we're working on the detail of the finances for the project.
While the majority of the £50,000 cost will be met from Club funds, we're pursuing options with different organisations who provide grants and and interest free loans.
To give us the greatest flexibility with the financing, we would like to hear from any members ready, willing and able to make a loan of £1,000 to the Club, repayable in 20 monthly installments of £50.
If you're willing to help the Club with a loan of £1,000, if we need this funding, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.

Supporting the Association
The Association is supported by its members in many ways, including practical help with the management of the clubhouse and grounds, organisational work and financial assistance.
We are always keen to hear from anyone willing to help, perhaps by giving time to assist with the day to day matters or by getting invoved with particular projects, for example, the recent electrical rewire of the clubhouse.
Needless to say, we are always happy to receive financial donations, including sponsorship from individuals and businesses.
If you would like to get involved in any way please contact the Association's Chairman, Ken Cooke, by email at email@example.com.
